Hoping for the children of Palestine .
This video is produced by Palestinian artist Hafez Omar with others which discuss some dreams of children who live in refugee camps .
Palestinians are the world’s largest refugee population, and comprise over a third of all refugees worldwide. Many of those living in the refugee camps are now third and fourth generation refugees.
Hoping foundation : stands for Hope and Optimism for Palestinians inthe Next Generation. Supporting Palestinian children is a real catalyst for change. Young Palestinian refugees need the simple chances and ordinary possibilities that can offer them creative solutions to their lives. The most important thing we can do is to help generate these possibilities, giving them a belief in the promise of a better future. We want to show young Palestinians that their struggle to transform their lives is encouraged and supported by the people in Britain and throughout the rest of the world.

Happy birthday to Gustav Klimt, born on this day in 1862.
Don’t miss a rare opportunity to see Klimt’s “Frauenbildnis (Portrait of a Woman)” in Gallery 158, on loan to the Museum from The Lewis Collection. Klimt began this piece in 1917 but it was discovered unfinished in the artist’s studio after his death in February 1918—you’ll notice this work is sketchier than most of Klimt’s densely decorated canvases. It is thought to be his third work to portray Maria (“Ria”) Munk, the daughter of Alexander and Aranka Pulitzer Munk, who had shot herself in 1911 at the age of 24, in despair over a lover.

This is Ainee Fatima, a spoken word poet who is part of the Chime for Change movement. After being featured in Seventeen Magazine, she posted this on her facebook page:
Many people have already found my feature in Seventeen Magazine, so I am really excited to finally talk about this after hiding it for two months!
As of May 20th, I am the first Hijabi to be featured in Seventeen magazine.I’ve read this magazine growing up and I had never seen anyone who looked like me but now I’ve been immensely blessed to be featured in an internationally known magazine around the world.
I’m really humbled and honored to announced that I’m working with Gucci, Beyonce for her campaign, Chime for Change and Seventeen Magazine to unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world.
I would like to thank everyone who has always continued to support me since I began writing. I would like to thank my parents and siblings for supporting me in their own weird way but being proud of me regardless. I would like to thank God for bringing these opportunities in my life, for blessing me with an amazing coach and slam team. Thank you to Rossie Rodgers-Alanis, Aris Theotokatos, Noor Hasan, Hera Shakir and Chase Langston for being there when I didn’t have a voice and helping me find it through years of tears and even more laughter. Thank you to my coach, Mr. Bellwoar who pushed me to write and encourage me when no one else believed in me. Thank you to Kevin Coval and Robbie Q. Telfer for Louder Than a Bomb and it’s wonderful community, I wouldn’t be the poet I am today without this and the inspiration you guys give me. To old and new friends who have been by my side and supported the work I do.
The issue is in stores all over the world, on itunes, amazon and kindle. Please make sure to buy a copy to show your support, it would mean so much! - Ainee Fatima
Honestly, I think the cutest thing in the world is when Harry laughs really hard; like when he squeezes his eyes closed, or makes that funny face where his nose scrunches up and nostrils flare and his eyes squint because his mouth is opened so wide, and then covers his mouth because he’s so embarrassed.
